This is the Hatsune Municipal Housing, located in the Hatsune district of Kitakyushu in Fukuoka Prefecture. It is actually a sacred place for the fans of the anime Hatsune Miku. Yet many places such as buildings or shops in this neighborhood outside this residence bear the name of Hatsune. This is because from the sky, the residence has the shape of the silhouette of Hatsune Miku. It is true that this logo can make think of mats and a skirt. The Hatsune Housing was built in the Hatsune district in 1970, about 40 before the birth of the famous Hatsune Miku, and the fact that it recalls the silhouette of the heroine happens to be a great coincidence. This is the answer for which the anime fanatics sacralize this place. The nearest station is Tobata, only three stops after the Kokura station. The detour is worth it if you are a fan of Hatsune Miku visiting Kitakyushu. The residence is a 6 minute walk from Tobata. But be careful not to attempt to enter the residence and not adopt an inconvenient attitude during your visit.
